2012 marks the 33rd consecutive year for the Chunnenuggee Fair, and is officially the Year of Food in Alabama. We are celebrating accordingly with a "Food for the Soul" Gospel concert Friday (April 27) followed by the Taste of Bullock County, showcasing local culinary accomplishments.

Saturday, April 28 is the Chunnenuggee Fair from 9am to 3pm along Prairie Street, centered around the Courthouse. It includes a juried Arts and Crafts show, live entertainment from local and regional singers and bands, a made-from-scratch Cake Sale, children's games and rides, and lots of food!

This year the Fair is part of the Alabama Barbecue Trail, meaning even more home cooked food than ever before! Locals and visitors meet and greet each other while the smoky aroma of barbecue, fried fish and chicken compete with each other over the sounds of children laughing and a steady supply of live music.

We always have a variety of entertainment. There are games, rides, characters, events, and plenty of goodies to be found at the booths to keep smiles on the faces of children and adults of any age! As always, we'll have a lineup of local and regional talent on stage, filling the air with everything from rock and blues to country and folk music - and everything in between!
